Let's give it a try, why not. There are plenty of pages on this wiki which are in need of being setup for translation from English, and I believe I have the necessary knowhow of this place (and Wikifunctions) to help with the effort. Hi all. I'm requesting adminship on Abstract Wikipedia because I believe that having a local admin here would be highly beneficial to the self-sufficiency of the project, as Denny Vrandečić recently pointed out in the latest status update.

In my opinion, one of the main benefits of having a local admin is having someone who understands, in depth, the actual content of abstract articles. I’ve created over 1000 objects on Wikifunctions, making me very familiar with the function model. As an admin, I’d be able to handle deletions and vandalism, update the main page for things like featured articles (when we get to that), etc. During my tenure as an admin on Wikifunctions, I designed the current styling for their main page, which has since been carried over here. I think I've been quite involved in the wiki since its creation a month or so ago.

I am truly sorry for abusing my sysop tools in January 2025, which I understand severely violated the community's trust. I promise never to do so again if granted this position, though I completely understand if some community members still have reservations. Thank you. Feeglgeef (talk) 01:37, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

  Here's the log item. My only excuse was a bad one, I was having a particularly terrible day and was frustrated with proceedings on meta's steward requests page.   I would’ve had a bit more sympathy if you actually reflected on what went wrong and what you would have done differently next time (instead of just a plain apology). You didn’t just misuse your tools, it also involved a Meta indef block for incivility, name calling and personal attacks. It's been over a year since that fuckup, and you have shown no signs of returning to that behavior since then, so the very least I could do is give you the benefit of the doubt.
